![]() ![]() Replaced fuel pressure sensor, car ran fine for two days, issue occurred again. Replaced HPFP, car was perfect for two days, problem reoccurred, more frequently. I have decided that it is most likely the high pressure fuel pump. Usually after start up and on initial acceleration. It’s died several more times without EPC or check engine light. This is clearly an electronics issue.Īny one seen this before? Where should I start troubleshooting? After waiting a minute, it started normally.Though no warning lights, I checked engine codes.I had one code, P228C00 Fuel Pressure Regulator 'A' Exceeded Control limits - Pressure Too LowĪt the moment, the engine is running fine. I shut engine off and on restart it would start and die. Today while pulling from stop sign the car went into limp mode with no light. There has been no sign of issue for about two weeks. After setting for a minute, at restart the EPC light went off and ran normally. On restart the engine would start and immediately die. I pulled off road, shifted to park and turned off engine. 2015 Volkswagen Passat 1.8 TSI dying or limp mode About two weeks ago while accelerating from a stop ,my Passat EPC light came on then went into limp mode.
